It was while traveling that Catarina Maldonado found the inspiration to launch herself into the world of necklaces. Necklaces that are almost sculptural pieces which have a life of their own, very close to the ethnic art that she loves so much, involved with the western cosmopolitan world where she is inserted. They are unique, unrepeatable pieces with their own personality. Her creation process is intuitive. She doesn't design necklaces before making them and she thinks each project as it materializes in her hands. She arrange and rearrange until its completion. Inspiration comes almost always from the forms she sees in her daily life and which she tries to reproduce into each necklace she has created since 2006.
